Let us work together to prevent flooding by always being alert
Heavy downpours in Greater Jakarta since Saturday night until Sunday dawn have caused water levels in the Katulampa sluice gate to exceed normal levels.
Based on the latest information, on Sunday, at around 8 AM, the water level has reached 120 cm. Katulampa Gate Guard Post Head Andi Sudirman, stated that the level III alert status was set at 6 AM.

Aside that his party also focused on Grebek Lumpur (mud cleanup) in order to accommodate water in large quantities, including making sodetan (crossing channel).
"To support it, we have alerted 257 heavy equipment and more than 260 trucks. Regarding evacuation location, we have also prepared it by implementing health protocols," he expressed.
He expressed his gratitude to all cross-service officers who work day and night to anticipate flooding in Jakarta.
"Let us work together to prevent flooding by always being alert, make sure the drains in our environment are clean from trash, make water absorption holes, biopores, and not spread hoax information," he said.
To report flood disaster, he also urged residents to report via the JAKI application which could be downloaded on the Play store or via emergency services 112.
"We are sure that with mutual cooperation and prayers for all of us, Jakarta be free from flooding," he added.
In the meantime, Jakarta BPBD Acting Head Sabdo Kurnianto encouraged residents to proactively pay attention to information and instructions on the website and social media accounts belong to Jakarta BPBD.
